Flat belts are developed by replacing leather belts. Before V belts, few machines use flat belts.
The only drawback of flat belts is that they rely on the tension generated by the belts to drive the rollers. This makes the application very poor when used in servo and positioning. If the power is transmitted with high tension, the life of the belt will be shortened. , And it's easy to slip, and the consequences are not good.
The conventional V-belt increases the efficiency as the wedge is embedded in the pulley to increase the driving force. The increase in the sheave contact area between the sheave and the V-belts of the pulley also makes it easier to follow than the flat belt, and there is no need to worry about the deviation of the belt.
Synchronous belts are often toothed belt structures to avoid the risk of slipping like normal belts. This structure overcomes the above disadvantages. Synchronously with a tooth profile that engages a groove in the roller. Therefore, this structure has the same advantages as sprocket transmission oil. When used asynchronously, it is also used in servo systems. In this application, it is better to mark the position of the belt and the position of the drive roller, because the conveyor belt slides like the drift of the servo position.
The tooth profile of the timing belt is generally trapezoidal and has been recognized as a standard. This transmission structure is also more used in the processing machinery, textile machinery, warp knitting process and camshaft drive. The timing belt is ideally suited for efficient, servo-controlled machines.
How to maintain the timing belt
1、Transmission timing belts should not be twisted and bent sharply, and they can easily break when the timing belt reaches a certain bending value.
2、During storage and transportation, avoid direct sunlight, rain and snow soaking; prevent contact with substances that affect product performance such as acids, halogens, organic solvents, and water vapor.
3、Stored at room temperature, the general temperature is -20 to 50; and at least one meter away from the heat source.
4、During storage, it is necessary to prevent deformation due to excessive weight. Do not stack and store the timing belt directly on the ground. Suspend the timing belt on a shelf or place it flat on the shelf.
5、Synchronous wheel products should be stored and transported in a dry and ventilated environment. Synchronous wheel products should be rust-proof.
6、Timing belt transmissions should be added to the protective cover and ensure ventilation and drainage.
